Pembroke win 5-a-side Cuppers

Pembroke won the 5-a-side Cuppers competition with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over OXILP at the Iffley Road sports centre today.

Pembroke took the lead through an early penalty and never looked like losing with Homer Sullivan, who scored the second goal, instrumental in the win. OXILP played some good football but, when they did find the target, were denied by the excellent Pembroke keeper Adam Tozzi. The lawyers became frustrated towards the end of the game and referee Paul Rainford had to step in to stop some passionate tackling in particular from Ashley Halewood.
